Walsh Hall, Mahwah, NJ
Developer: Darlington Associates
The 92-unit Walsh Hall Condominium is a luxury residential condominium developed in a five story building which was constructed in 1937 and served as the location of the Immaculate Conception Seminary of the Newark Catholic Archdiocese until 1986. This institutional building was completely rebuilt and converted to private luxury residential condominiums. It serves as a model for redeveloping and adaptive reuse of institutional buildings in America.
The $20 Million redevelopment cost of the project was financed through conventional financing and private equity. The building was constructed and sold out in five phases over a three year period.
Walsh Hall is designated an Energy Star Building and has been recognized for design excellence and quality construction.
